Join the Costa Mesa Historical Society for a special docent-led tour of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, one of Orange County’s most celebrated cultural landmarks and a defining institution in Costa Mesa’s artistic legacy.
Guided by knowledgeable Segerstrom Center docents, this exclusive behind-the-scenes experience offers rare insight into the history, architecture, and vision that shaped this world-class performing arts campus. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation for the Center’s founding, its architectural design, and its evolution into a nationally recognized destination for music, dance, and theater.
This is a unique opportunity to explore how the arts have helped define Costa Mesa’s cultural identity.

Please arrive 5–10 minutes early so we may begin promptly.
Meeting Location
We will gather on the south side of Segerstrom Hall, overlooking the fountain. Segerstrom docents and CMHS volunteers will be there to greet you.

Tour Route and Highlights
The tour includes behind-the-scenes access to Segerstrom Hall and Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Participants will learn about the architectural vision, acoustical design, and the family legacy that made this arts campus possible.
What to Bring and Accessibility Notes
This tour includes stairs and extended walking. Accommodations can be made for those with wheelchairs, canes and walkers.
