The Costa Mesa Historical Society invites the community to join us for a special afternoon celebrating the Society’s 60th Anniversary at one of Costa Mesa’s most treasured historic landmarks, the Diego Sepúlveda Adobe.
“An Afternoon at the Adobe” will bring together local museums, historical organizations, preservation groups, community partners, and families for a free public celebration honoring the history, culture, and stories that shaped Costa Mesa and Orange County.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore the historic Adobe grounds, visit informational booths hosted by museums and historical organizations from across Southern California, and enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities throughout the day.
The event will feature:
- Historic exhibits and displays
- Museum and cultural organization booths
- Live entertainment and music
- Educational activities and demonstrations
- Opportunities to connect with local historians and preservation groups
- Exploration of the Diego Sepúlveda Adobe and Estancia Park grounds
As the Costa Mesa Historical Society celebrates six decades of preserving local history, this event also looks toward the future by bringing together organizations dedicated to protecting and sharing the stories of our region.
Participating organizations will represent a wide range of Orange County and California history, including local historical societies, museums, archives, cultural institutions, preservation groups, and educational organizations.
Whether you are a longtime resident, history enthusiast, student, or someone discovering Costa Mesa history for the first time, we invite you to spend the afternoon exploring the rich heritage of our community.
